Butler Athletes of the Week, presented by the Marines - February 13, 2018

Butler sophomores Zach Bilek and Ericka Mattingly are the Butler Athletes of the Week, presented by the Marines.

Zach Bilek, Baseball

As the Grizzlies' opening day starter, Bilek tossed four shutout innings and allowed just three hits and struck out five batters in Butler's 10-0 run-rule win over Highland on Friday. Bilek, a righthander from Shawnee, Kan., was credited with the victory over the Scotties.

Ericka Mattingly, Women’s Basketball

Mattingly, a guard from Wichita, Kan., averaged 20 points per game in leading the Butler women to a pair of victories, including a road win over #14 Hutchinson on Saturday, Butler's first win at Hutchinson since 2007. She had 21 points and six rebounds in the win with three assists, three steals and a blocked shot. On Wednesday against Dodge City, Mattingly just missed a triple-double as she had 19 points, 12 rebounds and eight steals, as well as five assists and a blocked shot. Mattingly was 18-of-24 at the free throw line for the week.
