Butler Athletes of the Week - Javier Pena and Kenzie Young

Butler freshman Javier Pena and and sophomore Kenzie Young are the Butler Athletes of the Week, presented by the Marines.

Javier Pena, Baseball

Javier Pena scored a run in all five games this week as Butler went 4-1 and took over sole possession of first place in the Jayhawk West, including scoring the game-winning run in both games of a doubleheader on Thursday against Garden City. He averaged two runs per game, while hitting .444 (8-18) on the week with two triples, a home run and five RBI. He also stole three bases and drew five walks.

Kenzie Young, Softball

Kenzie Young hit safely in each game this week as Butler went 8-0. She hit .522 (12-23) with three doubles, a triple and five home runs, with 14 RBI. She also scored 13 runs and recorded 13 putouts while playing error-free defense in center field.
