Butler sohpomores Charlie Benton and Kennedy Weaver are the Butler Athletes of the Week, presented by the Marines.
Charlie Benton, Football
Charlie Benton was everywhere for the Butler defense Saturday night in a 42-14 win over Fort Scott. He led Butler with 11 tackles, five of which were solo stops. He had a sack, broke up a pass and also intercepted a pass, which he returned 26 yards for a touchdown.
Kennedy Weaver, Soccer
Kennedy had a sensational start to her 2017 sophomore campaign with four goals at #6 Iowa Western in a 5-1 Butler win. She was then able to add a fifth goal in a 3-2 loss to #16 Northern Oklahoma. Kennedy has five goals in the Grizzlies’ first three matches.
