Softball Falls to Butler

The Tyler Junior College Apaches couldn't keep up with Butler and fell 13-1 on Friday.

Butler took an early lead in the first inning. Alexis Reed drove in a run when she walked with the bases loaded.

Butler took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second there was an error, scoring two runs and Bryann Minor homered off of Amber Loehr, driving in three runs.

Butler scored five runs in the fourth inning. Butler's big inning was driven by a walk by Reagan Wilson and a grand slam by Ki'Audra Hayter.

Loehr took the loss for Tyler Junior College Apaches. She tossed one and one-third innings, giving up six runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Home runs for Butler came when Minor homered in the second inning and Hayter homered in the second and fourth innings.

Kaycie Moore, Haille Weber, Makenzie Goswick, and Briana Paysinger each collected one hit to lead Tyler Junior College Apaches.

Butler had eight hits in the game. Hayter and Minor each collected multiple hits for Butler. Butler didn't commit a single error in the field. Hayter had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
