Butler sophomore first baseman Evan Koehler was named to the KJCCC All-Conference Western Division first team, which was released Wednesday.

The Grizzlies had three other players - freshman third baseman Alex Weiss, sophomore pitcher Trever Ezell and sophomore outfielder Dalton Wheat - selected to the All-Conference team. Weiss and Ezell earned second-team honors, while Wheat was named honorable mention.

Koehler, who hails from Wichita, led the Grizzlies in nearly every offensive category - including the team's triple crown: batting average (.409), home runs (12) and runs batted in (81). Koehler's 81 RBI is currently second in the nation. He also led the team in hits (85), doubles (24), on-base percentage (.484) and slugging (.707).

Weiss, from Wellington, was second on the team in average (.377) while driving in 25 runs and scoring 33.

Ezell, an Elgin (Okla.) native, was 3-0 with a 3.04 earned-run average in 26.2 innings pitched and led the nation with 15 saves.

Wheat, who is from Augusta, led the team in stolen bases (45) and runs scored (62) while hitting .336 with six home runs and 46 RBI. Wheat is currently third in the nation in stolen bases.

The Grizzlies (36-23) ended their season with an 8-7 loss to Seward County on Saturday at the Region VI Super-Regional. Butler finished third in the Jayhawk West with a 20-12 conference record, its highest finish since 2010.
