Butler sophomore first baseman Evan Koehler was named to the NJCAA Division I All-American second team, which was released Tuesday.
Koehler, a Wichita native, led the Grizzlies in nearly every offensive category - including the team's triple crown: batting average (.409), home runs (12) and runs batted in (81). Koehler's 81 RBI was second in the nation. He also led the team in hits (85), doubles (24), on-base percentage (.484) and slugging (.707).
Koehler is the first Grizzly All-American since 2002, when Nick Blasi was an honorable mention selection.
