Head Coach BJ McVay picks up win number 300 Sunday afternoon

With a 9-6 victory over the Seward Saints on Sunday afternoon, head Butler Baseball coach picked up win No. 300 as head coach of the Grizzlies.

McVay, who has been with the program for 16 seasons is now in his 11th season as the head coach as has accumulated a 300-241 overall record.

He coached the Grizzlies to a KJCCC West championship in 2019 and has the Grizzlies currently in third place in the Jayhawk West this season.

Butler split the four-game series with Seward splitting on the road Thursday and at home Sunday.

Butler (21-12, 17-11) is two games back of Seward (20-20, 15-9), who has sole possession of second place in the KJCCC West at the moment. Hutchinson is at 19-5 in Jayhawk West play holding onto the top spot.

The Grizzlies play a series of non-conference games this week starting with NOC-Enid on Tuesday at 2:00pm in El Dorado. They will play KJCCC East opponent Labette on Thursday and Saturday with the Saturday games at home.
