Butler football finishes in NJCAA top 10 for 16th straight year

The Butler football team finds itself in a familiar position in the final NJCAA poll of the season – once again finishing the season firmly within the top 10 teams in the country.

The Grizzlies finish the year with a 9-2 record and a final post of No. 6 in the final poll. This marks the 16th consecutive year that Butler has finished in the top 10 in the national poll – a streak no other team in the country can boast.

Butler has finished in the top 10 in each of the 14 years Troy Morrell has been the head coach.

Butler was also once again the top-ranked team in the Jayhawk Conference. The next highest was Hutchinson at No. 17 (8-4) and Dodge City was ranked No. 19 with a 6-4 record. There have only been two seasons since 1998 when Butler has not been the highest ranked Kansas team.
