For the third straight week, Butler is one of three KJCCC teams ranked in the top 10. Coffeyville (3-0, 1-0) moved up one spot to third, while Hutchinson (2-1, 1-1) dropped six spots to ninth despite the loss to Butler. Dodge City (3-0, 2-0) continues to move up in the rankings after a 38-21 home win over Independence. The Conquistadors, who entered the poll at 20th last week, moved up four spots to 16th.
Copiah-Lincoln (MS) held down the No. 1 spot in the poll for the second consecutive week and received 139 total votes and seven of the nine first-place votes. Nassau (NY) remained ranked second, collecting the other two first-place votes and 134 total votes. Coffeyville, Tyler and Butler round out the top five.
Snow (UT) and East Mississippi remained sixth and seventh for a second straight week, while Northwest Misssissippi, Hutchinson and Rochester (MN) finish out the NJCAA Top 10.
Butler will be on the road for a second straight week as they travel to Fort Scott (1-2, 0-2 KJCCC) on Saturday. The Greyhounds opened the season with a 21-10 road win at Iowa Central, but lost back-to-back conference games to Hutchinson (37-6) and at Coffeyville (48-25).
