Butler men top century mark in home opener

For the second time in four games this season, the Butler men's basketball team has topped the century mark, rolling over Tabor's JV squad by a score of 105-63.

The Grizzlies jumped out to an 18-5, then led 29-12 after a monster dunk by Sean Goodwin with 10 minutes left in the first half. The Grizzlies led 53-29 at the break.

Butler's lead continued to grow in the second half, with the Grizzlies hitting the century mark with a layup by Stephon Burton with just over a minute to go in the game. Butler capped the contest with another thunderous dunk, this one by Lamar Wofford-Humphrey.

Butler again distributed its scoring with five players in double figures. Trent Richardson had 19 points, while Shomari Triggs had 18. Larry Fitzgerald scored 14, while Ernest Burton has 12 and Lamar Wofford-Humphrey 11. Sawyer Golden led Tabor with 14 points.

The Grizzlies are now 3-1 on the season. Butler will be on road this Saturday to take on Johnson County before returning home on Monday for a rematch with No. 4 Hutchinson.
