Butler men beat On Point Academy 88-36 for fifth straight win

The Butler men's basketball team continued to roll over opponents on Tuesday, blasting On Point Academy 88-36 at the Power Plant.

It is the fifth consecutive victory for the Grizzlies, who are now 5–3 on the season.

Butler clamped down defensively on On Point, as the prep team shot just 22 percent from the floor (14-of-63) and was just 13 percent from 3-point range (3-of-23). On Point was coming off a game at Hutchinson where it had been 50 percent from 3-point range (16-of-32) against the Blue Dragons.

Meanwhile, Butler was blistering the nets, shooting 58 percent (33-of-57), including 44 percent from 3-point range (12-of-27).

Will Adler scored the first five points of the game as Butler raced out to a 10-1 lead. On Point would get as close as 17-13 with 10:39 left in the first half before Butler went on a 10-0 run to push the lead to 14. Butler would lead 36-22 at the break.

The Grizzlies started raining 3-pointers in the second half, led by Travis House, who would hit five from beyond the arc in a five-minute span. His barrage sparked a big second half as the Grizzlies outscored On Point 52-14 in the final 20 minutes.

Travis House led Butler with 17 points in the game. Will Adler and Romalas Walker had 16 points each, while Caelan Neal added 14. Daven Joseph led Butler with nine rebounds.
