PRATT, Kan. - With another contest decided in the final seconds for a second straight game, the Butler men were unable to break a losing skid in a 95-93 loss at Pratt.

Despite a career-high 38 points from sophomore guard Jacolby Harris, Butler (14-12 overall, 11-12 conference) lost its sixth straight game and fell below .500 in conference play.

The Grizzlies only had one lead in the contest, coming when Harris made a basket with 1:09 to play to give Butler a 91-89 lead. Pratt answered with a field goal, then the Beavers re-took the lead with a pair of free throws after a Butler turnover.

Semaj Hervey made two free throws with 23.8 seconds remaining to tie the game at 93-93. Pratt's Devon Andrews was then fouled with 1.2 seconds left and hit both charity shots to win the game.

Butler trailed by as many as 15 in the contest and managed to overcome an early first-half deficit to pull within one, 26-25, with 9:15 before halftime. However, the Beavers made a 10-2 run and would take a 48-40 lead into the break.

Harris shot 14 of 26 from the field while leading all scorers with 38 points, while Semaj Hervey added 22 points with 4 for 5 three-point shooting.

Jaylon Wilson led Pratt with 28 points, making 10 of 14 from the field - including 5 of 6 beyond the arc.

With the loss, Butler is now in a three-way tie with Garden City and Cowley for sixth place in the conference standings with three games remaining. The Grizzlies will host Coffeyville on Wednesday in a 7:30 p.m. contest. Coffeyville and Cloud County currently sit in fourth place at 13-10, just two games ahead of Butler.
