Butler sophomores Jacolby Harris, Johnnathan Lindsey and freshman LaJuan Hardy were named to the 2016-17 All-Jayhawk Conference team, which was released Monday.
All three players received second-team honors for Butler, which was one of six teams to place three players on the squad.
In 31 games, Harris has averaged 14.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. The Delray Beach, Fla., guard has scored a team-high 436 points and shot 48.6 percent (137 of 282) from the field. Harris leads the Grizzlies in free throws made (146) and connected on 69.9 percent (146 of 209) from the foul line. In three games this season, Harris has scored 30 or more points - including a career-high 38 points at Pratt on Feb. 18. The 38 points was the most points in a game scored by a Grizzly since Cleveland Jackson had 49 in 1992. Harris, who was a medical redshirt last year, was an honorable mention All-Conference selection during the 2014-15 season as a freshman.
Lindsey is averaging 12.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. A 6-7 guard from Detroit, Lindsey leads the Grizzlies in rebounds (245), blocked shots (34) and field goal percentage (55.6 percent). The sophomore has made 145 of 261 shots from the field, 15 of 45 (33 percent) from three-point range and 86 of 114 (75.4 percent) from the free-throw line. Lindsey's season-high in points (27) came on Jan. 18 against Garden City. He leads Butler on the season with seven double-doubles.
Hardy leads Butler in scoring (14.5), assists (4.2) and steals (1.6) per game. The 6-0 freshman guard from Houston is also averaging 2.9 rebounds per game. Through 30 games played, Hardy has 127 assists and 49 steals, leading the Grizzlies in both categories. Hardy has made 48.8 percent (148 of 303) from the field, 43.6 percent (68 of 156) from three-point range and 81.4 (70 of 86) from the foul line. In two games this season, Hardy has scored 30 or more points. He dropped 33 points in a 104-92 home win over Garden City on Jan. 18.
Butler (19-12 overall, 14-12 conference) finished fifth in the Jayhawk Conference and has reached the Region VI semifinals for the third straight season. The Grizzlies will face rival Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Park City's Hartman Arena.
