Colby uses 52 point second half to defeat Grizzlies 92-73

A 52 point second half propelled the Colby Trojans over the Butler Grizzlies Saturday afternoon as Butler fell 92-73 to the Trojans on the road.

After a back and forth first half, Butler trailed the Trojans by two heading into the break. Colby came out on fire in the second half led by Alexandre Fanchini who finished with eight three-pointers and a game high 29 points leading the Trojans to the big win.

Butler was led in scoring by Grehlon Easter who finished with a team high 17 points and five rebounds. Javaunte Hawkins and Kamron Brice both finished with 16 points each on the night. Marque English was the other Grizzly in double figures finishing with 12 points.

Butler was held to 39 percent shooting from the floor but shot it very well from the free throw line at 83 percent. The Grizzlies got out rebounded 37-30 and were only able to force six turnovers and get one steal in the game.

Butler (8-3, 1-1) will host Dodge City (7-2, 0-2) on Wednesday, December 4 at 7:30pm for their first home KJCCC game of the season.
