Grizzlies upset No. 2 Indian Hills on their home floor

The Butler Grizzlies Men's Basketball team got a pivotal win on the young season, knocking off the second ranked team in the country, upsetting the Indian Hills Warriors 77-68 on the road in Iowa on Saturday.

The Grizzlies stay unbeaten with the victory, extending their record to 3-0 and it was the first road win the Grizzlies and just the seventh time the Warriors have lost at home in the last 118 games.

Treylon Payne led the way for Butler, with 19 points, going 5-8 from three-point range. Eden Holt and Jaden Okon also scored in double digits, both players scoring 11.

The Grizzlies took a five-point lead into the half and would carry it most of the way. Butler would win despite being outshot and giving up 52 bench points. Rebounding would be a crucial stat, and the Grizzlies won the rebounding battle 41-39. Issac Ondekane led the Grizzlies with seven rebounds on the night.

With the win, Butler returns home next week for two games, the first on Wednesday against Kansas City Kansas at 7:00pm, before ending the homestand on Saturday against McPherson for a 2:00pm tip in the Power Plant.
