Eight players notch double figures as the Grizzlies roll to 133-52 win

The Butler Grizzlies Men's Basketball team, ranked 9th in the nation and coming off a win against the second ranked team in the country, started the game on a 21-0 run and rolled to a 133-52 win over the Bethany Swedes JV team at the Power Plant on Wednesday. 

Eight players scored in the double digits for Butler, as Isiah Williams led the team with 17 points, marking the fourth consecutive game where a different player has led the team in scoring. CJ Powell and Keyon Thomas both scored 16 and Issac Ondekane was close behind with 14. It was a balanced night offensively, as the Grizzly bench combined for 74 points. It was an efficient night on offense, as Butler shot 67% from the field and knocked down seven three pointers. The Grizzlies combined for 30 assists, and Eden Holt led the team with eight. Butler found success inside all game, totaling 102 points in the paint. 

The Grizzlies had a nice night defensively as well, forcing 27 Swedes turnovers and racking up 38 points off turnovers. The Grizzlies outrebounded the Swedes 54-21 and gave up just two second chance points. The Swedes shot just 26% on the night and were just 28% from three point range. Issac Ondekane and Caleb Golden led the team in rebounds with eight, and Ondekane was just two rebounds shy of earning a double-double. 

"We've got a very balanced team," head Coach Kyle Fisher said. "We've had four different leading scorers in four games, and that's going to continue throughout the year. You really can't key on anybody. We've got 10 guys, maybe even 11 that can really score the ball, so we're deep and we're balanced."

With the win, the Grizzlies move to 4-0 on the season and will hope to remain unbeaten when they welcome McPherson JV to the Power Plant on Saturday prior to opening up KJCCC action next Wednesday.
