In that time, he transferred 34 student-athletes to four-year universities, coached four All-Americans, 13 All-Conference players, four Academic All-American teams, and led his team to a national tournament appearance.

Coach Vo’s most successful season at SMCC came in 2015-16, where he led the program to an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The team received NJCAA Academic All-American honors with a 3.1 team GPA - the first time in the SMCC Men’s Basketball 32-year history.  In addition to team academic honors, Vo had two players named to the All-American team, three All-ACCAC members, and transferred nine players to four-year universities while being recognized as the 2016 NJCAA Region 1 Coach of the Year.

Vo served three of those seven years as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, where he turned the Cougars' program around by having all three teams being named Academic All-American along setting a program record for wins, coaching one All-American and five All-ACCAC members.

As an assistant, Vo served four years under Dan Nichols at SMCC and Grand Canyon University. Under Nichols, Vo helped his staff reach one national tournament appearance and coached three All-Americans and eight all-conference members. Prior to that in 2016-17, Vo served as a Graduate Assistant under tutelage of Jeff Capel at the University of Oklahoma.

An Oklahoma City native, Vo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Information Systems. Vo played collegiately at St. Gregory’s University, where he earned Academic and All-Conference honors in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Vo and his wife, Laura, have three children.
