Remona Burchell and Latesha Bigby took over right where they left off from the first meet of the year.
"Both of these young ladies are off to a great start this year, it shows you what hard work can do," head coach Jeff Becker said.
Bigby qualified for nationals in the high jump, hurdles and the 4 x 400 meter relay. Burchell qualified for nationals in the 200 and was on the 4 x 400 Meter Relay with Bigby. Joining these two on the relay was Carole Idolphine and Jonelle Reinert. Idolphine also qualified individually in the 600.
The men were led by Alfred Larry. Larry hit the qualifying standard in two open events (400 and 600). Other men qualify for nationals at this meet included: Coty Williams (600), Steven Calloway (600), Leroy Moore (600) and Taylor Parker (1000)
The next action for the Grizzlies and Lady Grizzlies will be January 25th at The University of Kansas.
