LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The Butler men's indoor track and field team had two first-place finishes at the 2013 Region VI Indoor Championships on Friday.
Freshman sprinter Alfred Larry won the 400 meter dash, while the 4x400 meter relay team of Larry, Paris Carson, Steven Calloway and DeMarquis Mims also took first place.
The men's distance medley relay team of Taylor Parker, Leroy Moore, Coty Williams and Israel Mendoza finished second, just under two seconds behind Colby. Freshman Paris Carson also placed fifth in the 600 meter run.
Next up for the Butler men will be the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held in Lubbock, Texas, on March 1.
