Grizzlies come home with ten gold medals after competing at the John Jacobs Classic hosted by the University of Oklahoma this weekend.

Among the Grizzlies earning gold were the 4x100 meter relay team of Shawn Brown, Andre Morrison, Nazzio John, and Javari Thomas with a time of 40.36, along with the 4x400 meter relay team of Nazzio John, Tomlee Thomas, Nickory Richards, and Shawn Brown with a time of 3:15.67. 

The Grizzlies took first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth place in the Men's 200 meter dash. Nazzio John claims the gold coming in at 21.04, followed by Shawn Brown claiming the silver at 21.55, Javari Thomas in fourth at 21.84, Tomlee Thomas in fifth at 22.19, Eddy Vu in sixth at 22.28 and rounding out the top eight was Michael Thomas at 22.57.

Wail Bourahli also took home a gold medal in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.89. Bourahli was followed by Zach Trotter who claimed second place with a time of 1:54.90, and Abdelhakim Boukhiar at 1:56.73 in fourth place.

In the Men's 100 meter dash Javari Thomas took fourth coming in at 10.54, and Andre Morrison took eighth at 10.72.

Bennett Feldenkirchen took fourth in the Men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.01.

Joda Campbell took seventh in the Women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.76. Also taking seventh was Nickory Richards in the Men's 400 meter dash with a time of 49.06.

The Grizzlies will compete at the Alex Francis Classic at Fort Hays State University on Thursday beginning at noon. This meet was originally scheduled for Friday but was moved up due to forecasted inclement weather.
