LAWRENCE, Kan. – Butler track and field competed at the Kansas Relays for three days from Thursday through Sunday as the team prepped at its final competition ahead of the Region VI championships at Pratt.

Men's Results

Jonathan Farinha once again highlighted the Grizzlies efforts. The sophomore Trinidad and Tobago native took first place in the men's 100m (10.38) and the 200m (20.82). Andre Morrison was right behind Farinha in the 100m with a time of 10.41. Devian King placed fourth in the 200m (21.25).

Michael Thomas registered a personal record in the men's 400m, running 48.23 with a fifth place finish. 

In the 800m unseeded, Abdelhakim Boukhiar turned in a second-place finish (1:55.15).

In the 400m hurdles, Gabe Harp-Jackson finished with a personal record run of 56.33.

The men's 4x400 relay took second place with a finish of 3:13.63 (Devian King, Eddy Vu, Abdelhakim Boukhiar, Michael Thomas).

Women's Results

On the women's side, Kayveonna Jackson stole the show finishing first in the 100m, running 11.74.

Trishanie warner ran 56.87 in the 400m for sixth place.

Star Mpama took fifth in the 800m (2:15.73).
