Adem Bouldjadj named USTFCCCA National Cross Country Athlete of the Week for 2nd time this season

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Butler freshman cross country runner Adem Bouldjadj has raked in the awards this season and has claimed another as the USTFCCCA named him the NJCAA Division 1 Men's cross country athlete of the week.

"Keeping up with Adem Bouldjadj is not easy – the closest anyone has come this is year is 54.1 seconds.

Bouldjadj's fourth win of the year was another romp, winning the Firestarter Classic by 1:04.6 with a time of 23:39.1 for the 8k course that served as the Kansas Jayhawk CC Conference preview meet. It's the third time he's won a race by more than one minute.

This is the third time that a male athlete from Butler CC has been named M-F National Athlete of the Week during the cross country season. Bouldjadj one it once earlier this year, joining Rodgers Rotich (2021) in that regard."

The Grizzlies are back in action at the KJCCC Region VI Championship meet in Iola on Friday, Oct. 27.
