Butler softball will once again be holdings its popular fall softball clinics on the El Dorado campus.
The clinics will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 (hitting) and Sunday, Oct. 28 (pitching).
The hitting camp will have two sessions and will feature Mike Larabee, the head coach at the University of Arkansas. In his three seasons in Fayetville, Larabee has turned around the Razorbacks, leading them to a winning record this past springs with wins over five different ranked teams, including No. 1 California and eventual national champion Alabama.
Larabee also works with the Team USA softball coaching staff. In addition to Larabee, the clinic features the Butler coaching staff, which continually produces one of the top-hitting teams in the NJCAA, leading Butler to the Division I World Series in four of the past six seasons.
The first session for the hitting camp will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The second session will be from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
This session will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pitchers must bring their own catchers.
Both clinics will be held inside the Champions Training Center, an indoor workout facility on the Butler Community College campus. The CTC is located on the far south end of the Butler campus.
