El Dorado, Kan. – The Butler women's basketball team has announced the schedule for the upcoming season. The 2015-16 schedule is highlighted by 19 of the Butler 30 regular season games to be played at the Power Plant where the Grizzlies have gone 44-3 (94%) over the last three seasons.  

The 12-game non-conference slate will feature a single home contest beginning on Oct. 30 against Bethany College at 5:30p.m. Butler will travel to Clarendon College (TX) on Nov 4 before returning to El Dorado for a week long home stand. The Grizzlies have marquee matchups with State Fair (MO) Nov. 6 and Otero Junior College (CO) Nov. 10, both of which are in El Dorado before playing the first of two Butler Basketball Classics.

From there Butler will make the trip to Seward on Nov 30, to begin the region part of the schedule before returning home for tilts with Garden City on Dec. 2 and Barton on Dec. 5. The Grizzlies will end the first semester of play with a road contest at Colby on Dec. 12.

Butler opens the new year with a home game against Cloud on Jan 2 and then hits the road for a contest with Dodge City. Then in the only meeting of the season, the Grizzlies play host to Hutch on Jan. 9. The game with Hutch is the last of the region games before conference games begins a week later with Independence at home.

The Grizzlies have remaining conference home contests against Allen, Pratt, Neosho, Coffeyville and Sophomore night against Cowley before beginning the Region VI playoffs on Saturday Feb. 27 at home sites.
