Six Grizzlies ink with four year schools

EL DORADO, Kan. -Butler head women's basketball coach Mike Helmer announced on Monday that another wave of Grizzlies have selected new homes at four-year schools. Four signed with NCAA Division I institutions, one with an NCAA Division II and one with an NAIA school.

There were four players that signed with NCAA Division I basketball programs, including freshman Amari Dennis who chose Texas Southern University (Southwestern Athletic Conference). 2014-2015 NJCAA All American Ashley Gibson signed with Southern Methodist University (American Athletic Conference), Kynadi Johnson selected the University of Minnesota (Big Ten Conference) and Katie Palmer inked with the University of Washington (Pacific 12 Conference).

Sarah Parker signed with Oklahoma Christian University (NCAA DII - Heartland Conference), and Jurnee Reid has signed a Letter of Intent with Tabor College (NAIA DII – Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference).

Over the last three years, the Grizzlies have helped 18 student-athletes earn scholarships to four-year institutions. Ten of those have transferred on to NCAA Division I intuitions, six to NCAA Division II schools, one NCAA Division III, and two to NAIA colleges. During that same three-year period, the Grizzlies have averaged 28 wins per season and have a winning percentage of 85%.
