Butler women suffer first loss of season at State Fair

SEDALIA, Mo. - The Butler women suffered its first loss of the season Monday with a 66-56 loss at No. 13 State Fair. The contest was a rematch of the Nov. 2 meeting, which the Grizzlies won 66-33 at the Power Plant.

After falling behind in the first half by as many as 16 points, Butler rallied back courtesy of a big third quarter effort that tied the game at 42 apiece. However, the upset bid came up short in the fourth quarter as State Fair outscored Butler 24-14 in the period to earn the win.
