EL DORADO, Kan. - The Butler women scored a season high in points on Tuesday night en-route to a 95-46 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan University JV at the Power Plant.

Butler opened up a 21-point lead (43-22) heading into the half, then exploded for a 31-point third quarter due in large part to a 22-0 run shortly after the start of the second half.

The Grizzlies' defense locked down the Eagles, holding them scoreless for nearly six minutes before the Eagles finally tallied their first points of the second half with 4:11 left in the third quarter on a pair of free throws. Oklahoma Wesleyan didn't make their first field goal until the 3:54 mark of the period.

Butler scored 20 or more points in each of the four quarters Tuesday night and have done so in 14 of the 32 quarters played this season while averaging 77.3 points per contest.

There were four Grizzlies scoring in double figures led by freshman Nakylia Carter, who finished with 11 points. Sophomore Tamara Lee had a game and career high 11 rebounds in the effort for Butler.

The Grizzlies return to action on Friday night in a home tilt with Clarendon College (TX) in the first day of the McDonalds Basketball Classic. The women will tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game against Washburn JV at 7:30 p.m.
