Butler women continue to roll, beat Allen 81-36

The Butler women continued to roll, beating Allen County 81-46 for their third consecutive win.

The Grizzlies held Allen County scoreless for nearly eight minutes to start the game. By the time the Red Devils got their first bucket with 2:18 left in the first quarter, Butler already led 16-0.

Butler would lead 21-5 after one quarter and pushed the lead to 40-15 at halftime.

Allen County would outscore Butler in the third quarter, 18-12, but the Grizzlies poured in 29 points in the fourth quarter to push the lead past 30.

Tamara Lee once again led the Grizzlies in scoring, getting 19 points for the second straight game. Cassie Pauls added 12 points off the bench while Nia Roberts scored 10. Imari Bell led Butler with seven rebounds, while Tamara Lee and Nakylia Carter had four assists apiece.

Butler is now 16-6 on the season and 6-5 in Jayhawk Conference play. The Grizzlies will play at home again on Saturday, taking on Pratt at 2 p.m.
