Butler women eventually roll past Pratt, 82-65

The Butler women won their fourth straight game with an 82-65 win over Pratt on Saturday at the Power Plant.

While the Grizzlies won by a comfortable margin, Pratt led by as many as seven points in the first half and was still up by four at the half at 31-27.

Butler turned things around with a 9-0 run to start the second half to go ahead 36-31 and never looked back, building the lead to as many as 20 points late in the game.

Tamara Lee led Butler in scoring for the third straight contest. After having 19 in each of her last two outings, the sophomore transfer poured in 23 against Pratt, with 16 of those coming in the second half.

Nakylia Carter also had a big second half, scoring all 18 of her points after halftime, including 13 in the fourth quarter alone. Nia Roberts was also in double figures in scoring with 11 points, in addition to a team-high four assists.

Butler is now 17-6 overall and is 7-5 in Jayhawk Conference play. The Grizzlies have a quick turnaround with a 5:30 p.m. game on Monday on the road at Cowley.
