Butler gets fifth shutout of season in 11-0 win at Pratt

The Butler soccer team still has yet to allow a goal away from home, posting its second road shutout of the season in a 11-0 win at Pratt on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies have outscored their opponents 14-0 in road games this season after having won 4-0 at Hesston last Friday.

It is the second-straight shutout for keeper Kelsi Langley and her fifth this season in eight games. She had two saves in 90 minutes of play.

On the attacking side of the ball, Morgan Foster had her most prolific game as a Grizzly as the sophomore from Idaho Falls, Idaho scored a career-best four goals. Foster now has nine goals in Butler's eight games this season.

In addition to Foster's four goals, Butler got two more goals from Brittney Lawrence, the fourth time in the past five matches in which she has scored multiple goals. She now has 16 goals in eight games.

Madison Wedekind, Lamya Scott, Korrie Raney, Kelly Sutton and Alyssia Salinas also scored goals for Butler in the win.

The Grizzlies improve to 7-1 on the season, 2-0 in Jayhawk Conference play with the win. Butler will now face its toughest road test of the season when the Grizzlies travel to two-time national champion Tyler (Texas) for a 2 p.m. game on Friday. Butler defeated Tyler 3-2 in the regular season in El Dorado in double overtime last year, but had its season come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Tyler in the national tournament in Florida.
