Salinas named to NSCAA Scholar All-American team

Butler sophomore midfielder Alyssia Salinas was recently named to the NSCAA Scholar All-American team.

Salinas, a Wichita, Kan., native, has a 3.71 GPA and is majoring in dental hygiene. She was a two-year starter at midfield for Butler, helping the Grizzlies win a pair of conference and regional titles, go to the national tournament both years and reach the final four for the first time in school history in 2013. Salinas played in all 23 games this season and finished with 23 points (3 goals, 17 assists).

Salinas joins Mari Ruvalcaba (2012) and Casie Greenlee (2012) as the only Butler players to have earned the NSCAA Scholar honor.
