Butler goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger has been named the Jayhawk Conference goalkeeper of the Week. It is her first weekly honor this year and the seventh in her two-year career so far at Butler.
Reichenberger led her team to a perfect 3-0 week with three games on the road. She had three saves in 70 minutes in a conference win at Allen County, then made a career-best 11 saves in the full 90 minutes against No. 3-ranked Tyler (Texas) in a 3-2 Butler win. Jami posted her second shutout of the season on Sunday at Rose State, making three saves in a 1-0 Butler win.
Butler, ranked fourth nationally in the NJCAA polls, plays its home opener on Friday at 7 p.m. against Cowley County at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex.
