Reichenberger, Howland named KJCCC Players of the Week

Butler sophomore goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger and forward Colleen Howland have been named the KJCCC Goalkeeper and Player of the Week.

Reichenberger won the honor for the second straight week and eighth overall in her two-year career so far at Butler, while Howland receives the weekly award for the first time.

Reichenberger was spectacular in Sunday's 4-1 win over No. 10 Navarro (Texas), making 14 saves on 15 shots on goal. She made several tremendous saves against a relentless Navarro attack, including two incredible saves in the first 10 minutes to set the tone. Reichenberger improves her record on the season to 7-2.

Howland scored three goals with an assist in an undefeated weekend for Butler. The sophomore forward had two goals and an assist in a conference victory over Cowley, then scored a goal in the 4-1 win over No. 10 Navarro.

Butler, ranked fourth nationally in the NJCAA polls, plays at Kansas City Kansas on Friday at 6 p.m., then host Coffeyville on Sunday at 5 p.m.
