Butler Soccer's sophomore midfielder Brooklyn Hunter earned NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Honorable Mention All-American Honors on Tuesday. Hunter earns the honor after a season which saw her, and her teammates reach the Region VI Championship game for the third consecutive season and a year in which the Grizzlies received an at-large bid to NJCAA National Tournament in Evans, Georgia.
Hunter, who is the daughter of Butler Soccer head coach Adam Hunter, finishes her second and final season as a Grizzly as a two-time NJCAA All-American selection as she was an NJCAA Second-Team All-American choice her freshman season. Hunter finished the year with two goals and 19 assists which was the second most in the NJCAA this season. She finished third on the team in points with 24, trailing only the Grizzlies goal scoring tandem of Kenzee Godwin and Brooke Sullivan. Hunter also started in all 24 games for the Grizzlies at her center-midfielder position.
Brooklyn ends her Butler career with 7 goals, 33 assists, and 47 points.
Brooklyn is the 32nd All-American selection in the history of Butler Soccer. The last two were herself last season and Sandra Thiman in the 2019 campaign.
