LAUREN ALLAN - Newcastle United (Australian W-League)

Butler Career:  2015-16 — Goals: 38 Assist: 11 GW: 5

Lauren came to Butler from Kahibah, Australia in 2015.  Lauren would play for the Grizzlies in 48 matches over her two seasons including two trips to the NJCAA National Tournament with a Final Four appearance in 2015.  Lauren would tally a 4 goal game against Allen and 8 braces.  Lauren would continue playing in the U.S. at Anderson University, a NCAA Division II school in South Carolina where she won All-Conference honors.  After returning home, Lauren was able to earn a spot on her home team, Newcastle United Jets in Newcastle, Australia.  The Jets are currently playing in the W-League, the highest division in Australia. 

ELISE LEIDERSTIEN - AIK FOTBALL DAM (Swedish Damallsvenskan)

Butler Career:  2018— Goals: 26 Assist: 16 GW: 7

Elise came to Butler from Stockholm, Sweden in 2018.  Elise would start in 23 of the 24 games that season and tallied 4 hat-tricks and 2 braces during her 2018 campaign.  Elise would earn numerous honors including USC and NCJAA All-American in 2018.  Elise would take her successful college career at Butler and turn it into an opportunity to play professionally at home.  Elise would trial at A.I.K., a premier team in Stockholm, Sweden and earn a spot on the 1st team.

 AMY STRATH - FILKYR (Icelandic Premier League), ABERDEEN FC (Scottish Women's Premier League)

Butler Career:  2014-15 — Goals: 10 Assist: 6 GW: 1

Amy was recruited to Butler from Aberdeen, Scotland in 2014.  Amy would play in 45 matches over her two season for the Grizzlies including two trips to the NJCAA National Tournament with a Final Four appearance in 2015.  Amy would anchor the Butler defense both years and in 2015, only allowing 11 goals in 24 games.  Amy earned USC All-American honors in 2015.  Amy would continue her college career, first at University of Bridgeport, NCAA Division II school in Connecticut, then Newman University where she won the Defensive Player of the Year for the Heartland Conference.  Amy entered her pro career at Fylkir Sports Club in Iceland.  After her first season, she was signed by her hometown team, Aberdeen F.C., currently in Scottish Women’s Premier League.

BRITTNEY LAWRENCE - FHHAFNARFJORDUR (Icelandic Premier League), SKOFTEBBYNS IF DAM (Swedish Damallsvenskan)

Butler Career:  2013-14 — Goals: 39 Assist: 25 GW: 5

Brittney came to Butler from Ajax, Canada in 2013.  Brittney competed in 47 matches for the Grizzlies and earned two bids to the NJCAA National Tournament, competing in the Final Four in 2013.  Brittney scored the game winning goal to advanced the Grizzlies to the first Final Four.  During her time, Brittney scored 4 hat-tricks, 4 braces and a 5 goal game against Illinois Central.  Brittney would miss 3 games in 2013 due to being on the U20 St. Kitts-Nevis National Team competing in World Cup Qualifiers in Jamaica.  In 2014, Brittney earned a USC All-American honor.  After Butler, Brittney would continue her career at Oral Roberts, a NCAA Division I school, in Oklahoma tallying 13 goals in 42 games.  Brittney is currently a senior team player on the St. Kitts-Nevis National Team with 10 international goals and has recently been signed to Skoftebyn IF, in Trollhattan, Sweden. 

CHRISTINA CHAPPETTA - Professional Mountain Biker

Butler Career:  2007 — Played 20 games as freshman

Christina, from Augusta, Kansas, was one of the first players signed by Coach Hunter in his inaugural season.  Christina is an exceptional person with a drive to see the world.  After Butler, at age 22, she discovered the competitive downhill mountain bike racing circuit.  Christina participates on the Enduro World Series events and in 2018, placed 6th at Whistler, an EWS event allowing her to qualify an international event.  Christina has multiple sponsorship contracts including Trek and is currently residing in Whistler, Canada.  

SIMONE ARTHUR - Professional Crossfit Athlete

Butler Career:  2012 — Goals: 5  Assist: 12  GW: 2

Simone was a transfer Fort Hays State University and originally from Australia.  Simone played in all 25 games in her only season as a Grizzly.  Simone still holds multiple records at Butler for lifting, including 84 push-ups in 60 seconds, 24 pull-ups and 160 reps of 45lbs bench press.  After Butler, Simone continued her soccer career at Southern University, NCAA Division I school, in Louisiana.  Simone has had a passion for being in the gym and with that passion started competing in Crossfit.  Simone finished 3rd in 2019 at the Crossfit Championships in Australia.  Simone has been ranked in the top 150 Crossfit athletes in the World.  Simone has also taken up coaching in the gym and in 2019, coached the Crossfit champion to victory. 

SAMANTHA BACKLUND - Professional Body Builder

Butler Career:  2007 — Played 15 games as freshman

Samantha originally from Louisiana, graduated from Douglas High School before signing on to play at Butler.  After Butler, Samantha attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Samantha became involved in body building and is still actively competing in professional competitions.
