More than a foot of snow outside the Devaney Center in Lincoln couldn't stop a small contingent of Butler runners at the indoor Husker Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska over the weekend.

Freshman sprinter Remona Burchell had another great day. Burchell took third in the 60 meter dash. Her time of 7.51 in the preliminaries on Friday was an improved national qualifying time. She then came back in the 200 meter dash and finished fifth with another improved national qualifying time.  

Sophomore Cesar Sanabria had a break out run in the 5000 meter run. His time of 15:22.16 qualifies him for the NJCAA Championships and ranks him fourth overall in the latest NJCAA rankings.

The next action for the Grizzlies and Lady Grizzlies will be February 10 as a small group will go to Iowa State. The entire team will be back in action the following day at the Highland (Kan.) Invitational.
