The Butler track and field team had a small group compete at the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska over the weekend, with three athletes qualifying for nationals.
On the women's side, sophomore Fiona Masai ran the qualifying time in the 3000 meter run, while Shauron Jennings and DeAundrey Williams hit the qualifying standard in the 60 meter dash for the men's team. This brings the total of events qualified to nine for the women and 11 for the men.
The next action for the Grizzlies will be Feb. 8-9 at two different venues. A small group will race Friday at Iowa State University, while most of the team will be in action Saturday at the Highland Scottie Classic.
