Grizzlies drop two Saturday, finish weekend 2-2

The Grizzlies were unable to penetrate the Palomino defense tallying only 19 kills in the match while totaling 17 errors. Amalie Rupertova led in kills with five while adding 13 digs. "As a team we talk about how if we can win the serve and pass game, we will win matches. Against Laredo we lost both. Being consistent over time is something we emphasize as a team daily. When comparing yesterday's matches to today's, we were not consistent over time. We plan to learn from the match and keep moving forward," commented coach Lechtenberg after the match.

In game two on the day and final game of the tournament, the Grizzlies took on Lee College (TX). They jumped out quickly on the Lady Rebels taking set one with a final score of 25-16. The Rebels would answer after a tight back and forth set defeating the Grizzlies 25-23 in set two.

The Lady Rebels continued to roll throughout the match while the Grizzlies couldn't get all phases of the game to click at the same time. The Rebels took set three from the Grizzlies 25-21 and finished the match with a 25-19 win in set number four defeating Butler 3-1.
