Vernon, TX- Milayna Hollinger and Morgan Bryand have been named to the Vernon College Classic All-Tournament Team announced Monday morning by the tournament committee.
Morgan Bryand led all Grizzlies in kills tallying 37 throughout the weekend. She also finished the weekend with 24 digs, six blocks and two serving aces.
Milayna Hollinger totaled 24 kills over the weekend with only four errors for a .328 hitting. Percentage.
"Morgan and Milayna are both deserving of this recognition. They both have a strong presence on the court that is displayed through their play. If we look at their stats for the weekend, each one of them put up solid, consistent numbers for an opening tournament. Morgan did her job as an outside hitter and Milayna took care of her job as a middle for us in Vernon. I look forward to watching these two continue to imporve throughout the year, " mentioned Head Coach Lisa Lechtenberg.
The Grizzlies finished the weekend 2-2 defeating Lamar College (3-0) and Trinity Valley (3-2) on Friday and falling to Laredo College (0-3) and Lee College (1-3) Saturday afternoon.
Butler Volleyball is 2-2 overall as they head into their first conference matchup tonight, as they host Seward at 6:30pm at home.
