KJCCC ‘Player of the Week’ Rewind- Cross Country

With no spring sports in action and no opportunities for Grizzlies to earn KJCCC 'Player of the Week' honors, we are going to look back at all of this year's honorees.

Today we rewind to the fall Cross Country season where Michelle Sanchez was a three-time Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 'Runner of the Week'.

Week 4: Michelle Sanchez

Michelle Sanchez, sophomore from Junction City, KS placed 2nd at the Missouri Southern Stampede setting a .45 second personal best. Her time was 18:37 in the meet good for a runner-up finish. She helped lead the Grizzlies to 6th place in the college division.

Week 6: Michelle Sanchez

Michelle Sanchez, sophomore from Junction City, KS was the top NJCAA finisher in race two at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, AR. She finished 14th place and ran the fastest time in the region this week, with a time of 18:40.

Week 8: Michelle Sanchez

Michelle Sanchez, sophomore from Junction City, KS dominated her home course and won the Ollie Isom Invitational hosted by Butler Community College. Michelle ran a 19:01 in the 5000-meter race and led Butler to the Ollie Isom Invite Championship.
