Khloi Bird named National Runner of the Week

It has been a great start to the season for the Butler cross country teams as twice the Grizzlies have had a runner voted as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Runner of the Week.

Last week, it was freshman Rodgers Rotich picking up the award on the men's side and this week it is Khloi Bird who was named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week.

Khloi Bird, freshman from Topeka, KS, won her first collegiate race in impressive fashion. The freshman ran away from all competitors in the Missouri Southern Stampede's College/JUCO Division, winning the 5K race by 16 seconds in 18:30.8.
