Richard Alvarez is in his first year with the Grizzlies as the Coordinator of Student Involvement & Event Manager for Butler Athletics. 

Having worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, University of Minnesota and the Wichita Force, Alvarez brings a wealth of experience to the Grizzlies in regards to event management, marketing and promotions. 

Alvarez is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned his degree in Sports Management. He has also served seven years active duty in the Air Force. Alvarez is currently a member of the Air Force Reserve 507th LRS in Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. He loves traveling, visiting different countries and experiencing different cultures.
