Former Butler football player Nate Haremza is in his sixth season on the Grizzly coaching staff, and was recently promoted to Offensive Coordinator.

Prior to taking over the offense, Nate served as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator for the Grizzlies, a team that saw a ton of success on the offensive side of the ball in his four seasons.

In just his fiveseasons with Butler, Nate has coached 20 All-KJCCC offensive lineman and sent 25 to the Div. I level, an average of over five per year.

During the 2021 season, Nate coached first team All-Jayhawk center Seth Falley, along with three other All-Jayhawk lineman that saw the Butler offense lead the KJCCC in scoring 41.0 and rushing yards per game 215.3. Nate's run game totaled 28 touchdowns on 2,153 total yards on the ground.

Butler was 2-4 during the Spring 2021 COVID-19 season with two games canceled due to the pandemic. Coach Haremza coached five All-KJCCC players in Brayden Bryant, JJ Crawford, Colten Cable, Nick Lowe and Seth Falley.

In 2019, the Grizzlies finished 10-3 and won, for the second straight year, the Midwest Classic Bowl Game 33-23. The Grizzlies finished the year with 2,473 yards on the ground in 602 carries, with an average of 190.2ypg and 24 rushing touchdowns.

In 2018, Haremza’s first season on staff, Butler finished 8-4 overall, 11th in the final NJCAA football poll and a postseason victory in the Midwest Classic Bowl. The Grizzlies’ offensive line was highlighted by offensive tackle Josh Ball, who received All-Conference

second-team honors. Offensive guard Jaden Rosenthall also garnered All-KJCCC honorable mention honors.

Haremza was previously at Trinity Valley (Texas), where he coached the offensive line during the 2017 season.

Prior to Trinity, Haremza spent two seasons (2015-16) at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 2015, SWOSU set school records for scoring offense, rushing yards and touchdowns while going 8-4 overall and a runner-up finish in the Great American Conference.

Haremza spent the 2015 spring season at the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Garden City. He also spent the 2014 season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M as the tight ends and assistant offensive line coach.

As a player at Butler from 2010-11, Haremza was a two-time All-Jayhawk Conference selection at offensive guard. He helped the Grizzlies win two conference titles and two NJCAA National Championship runner-ups. while finishing with a 22-2 record.

Following Butler, Haremza signed with Southern Illinois University, where he lettered for two seasons and started 12 games. He also spent time at SIU as a student assistant working with the offensive line.

A native of Larned, Kan., Haremza holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration from Southern Illinois. He is married to Kelsey Haremza (Townsend) and the couple has two dogs, Luna and Nova and reside in Bel Aire.
