It was a night to forget for the Butler Grizzlies, as they fell to the Garden City Broncbusters, 94-64 in western Kansas on Wednesday.

It just wasn't Butler's night. The Busters forced 34 Grizzly turnovers and turned in 45 points off of those turnovers. Garden City shot 50% from the field and put up 42 points in the paint as they carried a 48-25 lead going into the locker room. The Grizzlies opened a 10-0 run to start the second half, but just could not build any momentum, as the second half was mostly academic, with the Busters building the lead to as many as 34 points.

Marque English starred for the Grizzlies as he put up 17 points, on an efficient 5-10 night from the field. He was the only Grizzly player to reach double figures, though CJ Powell and Shawn Warrior both had eight off the bench, as the Grizzlies got 21 points from their bench on the night. Butler outrebounded Garden City, 29-27, and were led on the glass by Treylon Payne with six.

The 18th ranked Grizzlies will drop to 12-4 on the year and 6-4 in conference play. The loss snaps a three game winning streak, but they'll look to bounce back on Saturday, returning home to the Power Plant where they are still yet to lose this season, welcoming Independence to El Dorado at 4:00pm.
