Kyle Fisher begins his fifth season as the head men's basketball coach at Butler in 2023-24.

Fisher has been dominant at home since becoming Butler's head man, accruing a 51-8 overall home record in the Power Plant over his first four seasons and an overall record of 90-33.

The 2022-23 season for the Grizzlies was one that will be remembered forever, as the Butler Men's Basketball team won the Region VI Championship for the first time since the 2010 season and the Grizzlies played at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament for the first time since 2015. The Grizzlies won their opening round game as the #10 seed against 23rd-seeded Roane State in dominant fashion, 85-66. It was the first win at the national tournament since 1996. The 26-9 record posted by the Grizzlies was the best in coach Fisher's tenure with the Grizzlies so far.

Four Grizzlies earned All-KJCCC honors in 2022-23 under Fisher's watch. Isaiah Williams was named second team All-KJCCC as well as an All-Defensive team member. Rob Brown and Isaac Ondekane were named to the conferences all-second team and Tahjae Hill was named honorable mention.

In the 2021-22 campaign, Coach Fisher led the Grizzlies to a 23-9 record and 3rd-place finish in the KJCCC. Coach Fisher also had three All-KJCCC team selections as Eden Holt was named to the 2nd team, Marque English was named to the 3rd team, and Treylon Payne was an All-KJCCC defensive team selection. Coach Fisher's crew appeared in 11 of 14 NJCAA Rankings throughout the season, finished the year ranked #25, and achieved an NJCAA ranking as high as #7. The highest ranking Butler Men's Basketball has achieved since 2015.

In the COVID 2020-21 season, Coach Fisher guided the Grizzlies to a 16-7 record and a 3rd-place finish in the Jayhawk East Conference. Coach Fisher also coached three All-Jayhawk Conference selections as Shawn Hopkins was named to the 1st team while DeeJuan Pruitt and Noah Thomasson were named to the 2nd team. Coach Fisher also guided the Grizzlies to an NJCAA Ranking as high as #20 in his 2nd season.

In his first season, Fisher led the Grizzlies to a 25-8 record and a national ranking (#22) in the final NJCAA regular-season poll during his first season with Butler, after seven successful seasons as the top assistant at Coffeyville. The 25 wins were the second-most by a Grizzly head coach in his first season, while Butler made their first Region VI title appearance for the first time since 2010.

During the 2019-20 season, the Grizzlies led the Jayhawk Conference in field goal percentage allowed (39.6 percent) and were the top free-throw shooting team in conference play (76.3 percent).

Under Fisher, Butler had two All-Region VI honorable mention selections in guards Javaunte Hawkins and Grehlon Easter. Both Hawkins and Easter also were named to the All-KJCCC West second team, while forward Marque English and guard Juwan White earned All-KJCCC West honorable mention accolades.

While at Coffeyville under Jay Herkelman, the winningest coach in Region VI men's basketball history, Fisher helped the Red Ravens to a record of 179-55 and four trips to the national tournament - including three straight appearances along with a Final Four finish in the 2018-19 season.

Coffeyville rolled to the Jayhawk East Conference title in 2018-19 with a 19-1 record. The Ravens advanced to the national tournament in Hutchinson and reached the national semifinals before being eliminated by Ranger (Texas).

Prior to Coffeyville, Fisher served as the top assistant at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Ariz. for two seasons. Prior to Eastern Arizona, Fisher served two seasons as the top assistant at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa. Prior to coming to Creston, Fisher served as a graduate assistant for his alma mater, Washburn University in Topeka.
