Erickson named KJCCC 'Pitcher of the Week' for second consecutive week

For the third time this season and second straight week, freshman pitcher Izzy Erickson is named the KJCCC Div. I Pitcher of the Week.

Erickson, right handed pitcher from Kimberling City, MO, improved to 9-1 on the season after two strong starts this pas week. Erickson pitched four of the finve inning on Tuesday against NOC-Enid throwing a no hitter with no walks in her four innings. She retired all 12 batters faced in that game. On Saturday, Erickson pitched a complete 5-inning game in the Grizzlies 9-0 win over Colby. She gave up two hits, no runs, no walks and struck out 10 in that game. She faced a total of just 17 batters in that contest. Erickson has 49 strikeouts on the season picking up 16 this past week.

This is the third 'Pitcher of the Week' honor for Erickson and fifth time a Butler softball player has been recognized.
