Allyson Montgomery, the 5-2 freshman right-handed pitcher from Goddard, KS, was voted as the Kansas Jayhawk Communtiy College Conference Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week after a stellar week insid ethe circle for the No. 6-ranked Grizzly Softball team.

Montgomery picked up three of the Grizzlies five wins this past week inside the circle putting up some impressive numbers. Montgomery pitched 11 total innings allowing zero earned runs off just seven hits. She walked four and posted 21 total strikeouts. Montgomery is off to a hot start in her true freshman season, now with a record of 5-0, has an ERA of 0.64 and 39 total strikeouts.

Montgomery joins teammates Emma Koeneke and Madi Young as a Player of the Week selection here early in the spring season.
