Zack Sigler is in his 17th year as an assistant coach, and has been with the program for Coach Chance’s entire tenure as head coach. He has been a reliable workhorse in handling many day to day jobs integral for the program to run smoothly. He also shares in recruiting duties, and is charged with working with outfielders, coaching slappers, and handles third base coaching duties. Zack is also part of the staff that won the NFCA’s National Coaching Staff of the Year Award in 2016 and 2017, along with back-to-back NJCAA National Championships.

Sigler graduated from Chase County High School in 2002, and then joined the Butler softball coaching staff as the student assistant coach in the fall of 2003.

Sigler coached the Kansas Best Mad Dawgs during the summer of ’03. During that summer he coached them to a 44-4 record with two state championships (ASA and USSSA) as well as a second place finish at the USSSA World Series. In the summer of ’04, Sigler coached the team to another USSSA state championship, and finished third at the ASA state championship. 

Sigler and his wife, Angie (Weiss), have three children and reside in Augusta.
