The Butler Grizzlies Women's Basketball team finished a two game weekend stretch with a win against Northern Oklahoma, Tonkawa, holding off a late Mavericks rally and winning 80-78 to continue their unbeaten start to the season. 

The Grizzlies, ranked seventeenth in the nation, used a late first half run to stretch their lead to 11 points going into the locker room, and took a comfortable 59-49 lead into the fourth quarter. But the Mavericks surged late, getting to within two points of the Grizzlies in the game's winding moments. The Grizzlies would come up with a key defensive stop and would manage to hold off the Mavericks long enough to secure the two point win.

Butler improves to 5-0 with the victory, and they will finish the conference season unbeaten. Conference play will begin for the Grizzlies this coming week, as they'll look to defend their conference title when they head to Colby on Wednesday.
