Ali Bettencourt is entering her first season with the Butler Grizzlies women's basketball coaching staff.

Prior to Butler, Bettencourt played at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 2016-2019. During her junior season, she was named the Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year, All-GLVC Third-Team, and made 71 3-pointers, on the season - which ranks third all-time at Parkside. As a senior, Bettencourt earned All-GLVC second-team honors.

Bettencourt graduated from Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, Calif., where she was a standout athlete. She led the team in scoring and assists as a senior and was a two-time All-Delta River League and Sacramento Bee All-Metro selection. She also was named Oak Ridge's Female Athlete of the Year during her junior and senior seasons. Bettencourt was also named to the NorCalPreps.com Top 40 team prior to her final two years at Oak Ridge.

Bettencourt is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where she earned a Bachelor of Science with a degree in Sport Management.

An El Dorado Hills, Calif., native, Bettencourt is the daughter of Mike and Dana Bettencourt and is the sister of former Butler Grizzly basketball player, Carly Bettencourt (2012-13).
